About the Evening…

In 2015 Thrive partnered with a wonderful non-profit organization called New Story. It just so happened that several of Thrive’s Leadership Team were at an industry conference in New York where they heard from a handful of wild-eyed, young entrepreneurs on stage talking about “ending global homelessness”. There was an immediate connection forged as we saw their vision align with ours:

Thrive’s Vision: to move people to their better life.
NewStory’s Vision: to build a future where the world’s most vulnerable families can own a safe home.

They’re on a remarkable journey to house 1 million people by 2030. Their approach to homelessness is especially compelling to us: “Before we build a home, we talk with the family who will live there. Their needs and dreams shape our home design. The human-centered process creates ownership and helps our team build sustainable communities with empathy and efficiency.”

We’re excited to partner with such a transparent, energetic group with a BIG mission, and journey with them as they lean into homelessness in ways that have never been done before.

Through their unique processes, the team at New Story has figured out how to build wonderful, safe homes for about $7,000, all while engaging local labor which further impacts the surrounding community and economy. Last year Thrive celebrated building it’s 12th home with NewStory, and now we want to share New Story with you!

Our goal for the evening is 3-fold:

1. Enjoy you! Without you, Thrive could not exist. Let us celebrate you in a gorgeous venue, with craft cocktails and catered food!
2. Spread awareness about homelessness and invite you to learn more about how you can participate in ending it.
3. Build a house in one night for a family in need by raising $7,000.
